Duluth East Track & Field Captains

The role of a Captain at Duluth East carries with it the expectations of strong leadership, good sportsmanship, honesty, and integrity. Captains must follow and promote the rules designated by the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) and Duluth East High School. Captains must be able to work with the team members, the coaching staff, and the community to promote good sportsmanship and proper behavior.

As Team Captains these athletes demonstrate the core values of what Duluth East Track & Field represent. They will provide leadership, responsibility, and are very knowledgeable of the routines. If you have questions about track, feel free to ask your Team Captains first. Your captains are also responsible for planning and organizing team events such as a team picnic, designing/ordering team sweatshirts, overseeing bus/camp cleanup duties, starting practice stretching/warm-up routine, and other activities.

Team Managers are responsible for getting your event results collected so be sure to tell them your time/distance after your events. Some meets don’t give us complete results and everyone want to see your performances!
