Practice Starts Monday!

If you missed the Team Information Meeting on Monday, please be ready for the first day of practice on Monday 4/11/13.  IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT PHYSICAL ON FILE, YOU CANNOT PRACTICE so be sure to get in all of your paperwork ASAP.

If you need your eligibility paperwork, please get the Track Eligibility Packets at Monday’s Practice.  We will have a quick recap of the eligibility forms and what to do with them.  DO NOT TURN THEM INTO THE OFFICE.  Only turn in completed packets at track practice to a coach.  If they are not completed, they will be returned.

Track 2013 – ATHLETE AND PARENT MEETING

ATTENTION:  ALL ATHLETE and PARENT INFORMATIONAL MEETING is on MONDAY 3/4/13 from 6-8pm.   This is just not a sign-up meeting. If you plan to be on the team, be at this meeting! Valuable team information and changes will be addressed at this meeting.

2012 7AA Final Results

The Duluth East Track Team did an excellent job this year!  At Sections, we saw many personal bests set at this meet, along with some state participants and even some school records!

100M Dash 1st – Lydie Smith STATE (.02 from beating school record of 12.54)
100 M Dash 1st – Quinton Coleman – STATE
200M Dash 2nd – Lydie Smith – STATE –NEW SCHOOL RECORD of 25.66 vs 25.74 set in 1982.
200 M Dash 1st – Quinton Coleman – STATE
800 M Relay  1st – Lauren Elwell, Lucy Robb, Jackie Erickson, Lydie Smith – STATE –  NEW SCHOOL RECORD of 1:44.18 vs 1:46.84 (2.66 difference) set in 1991.
Lucy Robb  300 M Hurdles – NEW SCHOOL RECORD of 46.27 vs 47.52 set in 1995.

Letter Winners for 2012 are now posted on the Team History/Awards page.  The rest of the awards will be announced at the Awards Banquet.  If you are a letter winner, please be present at the banquet to accept it!
