Tuesday’s Meet – Dismissed at 2:30 and you must provide your own transportation. However, 1 bus will leave at 2:45pm and will return after the meet if you have no other transportation options. This is an unlimited entry meet so everyone can participate. This may be the last meet for some of you so please make the best of it. Try your hardest and end your season with a Personal Record!
Wednesday – Team Voting (EVERYONE PLEASE SHOW UP!)
Starting Thursday only the Section Team will be practicing. Training will soon be over and we will be working on specific areas to cut fractional times (relay exchanges, starts, etc) and increase distances. If you are on the section team, please take it easy and follow your coach’s directions and NO OTHER SPORTS. Everything you have done up until now has been to prepare yourself for Sections/State so make it your priority.
May 2, 2014 – Monday 5-6pm Auditorium – End of Year Team Banquet (letter winners, awards, captains)
Thursday is Picture Day. BRING YOUR UNIFORM! If you would like to order pictures and have not picked up a picture envelope/form please bring a check for $20.00 made out to “Jack Rendulich Photography” and you can fill out the form and enclose the check. Pictures will include display mat with a 5×7 team photo with a 4×5 individual photo that fits in a 8×10 frame.
Friday is Track Clean Up Day. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. The team will be helping to clean up the grounds around East High School.
Saturday is the Saint Francis Invite. The bus leaves at 6:30am. We should arrive back around 7-8pm.
Tuesday is the Hermantown Quad, the last track meet before sections. For some of you, this will be the end of your season so please make the most of it and do your best at the meet.
Wednesday is Team Voting for next year so be sure to attend. Awards Banquet information will be coming soon…
After Thursday, only the Section Team will be practicing and perfecting their starts, hand-offs, strategies, etc up until the section meet. If you make the Section Team, please make sure you make decisions that will not affect your performance at Sections. Your times/distances should be peaking at Sections and hopefully into State as this is where our training program should have put you. Doing MORE than what we have instructed you to do is NOT going to be beneficial. No Extra Runs, No Extra Weigh Training, No Skydiving, No Hard Practices. Be Safe and Good Luck!
Thanks to everyone who helped out at the meet today! We saw a lot of surprise performances and everyone did a great job!
Since us coaches were busy working events, there may be some changes we don’t know about so if you see anything that looks wrong in the relays, please let Coach Kinsey know. Girls 4×200 Relays need some adjustments of who ran in which relay and in which place.
True Team is on Tuesday so if you are NOT able to attend the meet, please submit your absence online as we will be filling in 3 people for every event. True Team scoring counts for 1st place thru last place so everyone will score letter points in this meet.
