Update – April 8, 2021

Thank you for a wonderful week!

The $185 fee should appear in Infinite Campus and should be paid.

Our first meet is on Saturday, April 10. Hoping for fantastic weather! The meet will start at 10 AM, and should be completed by 1 pm. This is a dual meet against Rock Ridge.

Order of Events

Athletes will have a race number for the season. It will be written on the back of their hand on race day.

Athlete Race Numbers

Each athlete will be allowed 2 spectators who must stay in the bleachers, and are not allowed on the track. Athletes are not allowed in the bleachers. Concession restrooms will be available to spectators, and the port-a-potties will be available to athletes and coaches. Athletes will enter/exit the meet through the entrance closer to Superior Street. Spectators will enter/exit by the ticket booth. Spectators will be asked to sign in either on paper or to scan a QR code when they arrive at the meet.

Spectators are asked to wear masks and socially distance. I know we are all getting worn out with hearing those words. We have so much at stake this season. Thank you for keeping our team safe.

We will announce events tomorrow at practice. Meet inside again on Friday with your area coach. If you still need a jersey, you can stop by Mrs. LaFontaine’s room, 2009 during the day or at practice.

Athletes should do the COVID Check IN before they come to the meet.

All of the meets this year will be hand timed and scored. Please be patient with coaches as it may take up to 24 hours after a meet for final results to be posted on the website.

We will have information for the meet on Thursday, April 15 in Cambridge on Monday. This is a limited entry meet. We will inform athletes who will be able to travel to that race.

Spring break practice will be at 3:15 on April 19, April 21 and April 22. We have meets on April 20 and April 23.

Thank you for checking the website on a regular basis.

Update for Practice – April 8, 2021

We will meet inside on the second floor by the library at 3:30. Make sure you have clothes to be inside and outside. Details about our Saturday meet will be shared later this evening. Thank you for your patience as we navigate a very large team during these challenging times.

Update – April 4, 2021

We had an exhilarating first week of practice!

The $185 fee should appear in Infinite Campus now and needs to be paid by
Thursday, April 8, 2021.

Jerseys will be sold on Wednesday and Thursday. They are $35. If an athlete has an old jersey, they may choose to use that this year for most meets. If an athlete makes the section team, they must have the new jersey.

The $20 fee goes directly to the team to cover costs of hosting meets, and bus upgrades.

All checks should be made payable to Duluth East.

Athletes will be discussing events with coaches at practice this week.

Update – April 1, 2021

PLEASE help us keep the team safe. Athletes must keep 6 feet apart and masks must be worn at all times with the exception of competitions. Please keep your athlete home if they are waiting the results of a COVID test. We have so much to loose. Some kids are out for track to get in shape and have fun which is fantastic. Some kids are hoping for the opportunity for times/distances in events for college next year. We need to be smart and diligent. Thank you.
