SCHOOL LETTER POLICY FOR EAST TRACK & FIELD
Letter Winners will be listed online prior to the end of the season. Head Coaches have FINAL determination of who letters and decisions are based on the requirements listed below and may include other factors. The following must apply in order to receive a varsity letter.

1. He or She must conform to all eligibility rules of the Minnesota State High School League, any special rules of the school, and conferences of high schools to which this school belong.
2. He or She must complete the season of competition in good standing with the coach and with the school officials.
3. He or she must have been in regular attendance at practice periods.
4. As a wearer of all school jacket, sweater, or letter, the student is expected to conform to rules of good citizenship in the school and the communi-ty. The athlete must realize that they are a representative citizen of their school and is clearly identified by the school emblem or letter, jacket, or sweater.
5. A participant must earn a minimum amount of points during the entire season. The actual number of points varies with the number of meets held each year but generally account for 1 point per meet.
6. Consideration is giving to athletes that place in the section meet and state meet.
7. A senior who has participated in track for three years and has met all qualifications except those of points will also be given special consideration for a letter.
